A Beacon of Leadership and Advocacy at Sierra College
Joselin Hernandez embodies the essence of leadership at Sierra College. As the student trustee, president of the Student Government Association, and leader of the Puente Club, Joselin’s roles are a testament to her commitment and passion for student representation and advocacy. Her involvement doesn’t stop there; she is also a distinguished member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and serves as an ambassador for CalFresh, further showcasing her dedication to supporting her peers.

Championing Student Success in the Heart of Tulare County
In the serene shadows of the Sierras lies Porterville College, a beacon of hope and achievement for a predominantly Latinx and first-generation student body. Nestled within the rural community of Tulare County, the college reflects the demographics of its surrounding city of Porterville, where 72% of the residents are Hispanic. However, at Porterville College, this figure rises to 81%, underscoring a deep-seated commitment to inclusivity and a sense of belonging among its students.
