Mission Statement

The California Association of Latino Community College Trustees and Administrators (CALCCTA) is dedicated to advancing the success of underrepresented Latina/o students in higher education. Our mission encompasses two key objectives:

1 Empowering Latina/o Students: CALCCTA strives to empower Latina/o students by advocating for equity, inclusion, and justice. We believe in self-determination and collaboration as essential principles. Through effective leadership and opportunities for professional growth, our members transform community colleges across California.

2 Systemic Change and Accountability: CALCCTA actively crafts and advocates for policies that address and dismantle systemic barriers. By doing so, we facilitate the academic achievement of Latina/o students and hold our institutions accountable for the success of all students.

Our commitment to these principles drives positive change within the California Community College system, fostering an environment where every student can thrive.
