Advocacy for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) remains a cornerstone of CALCCTA’s mission. The organization supports legislation that promotes these values across community colleges. This includes their participation in initiatives and support for policies that integrate DEIA principles into the operational and educational frameworks of community colleges. Notably, CALCCTA and the Community College League have supported numerous legislative items that enhance support services and educational opportunities for underserved communities (CCCCO).
