Support for Baccalaureate Degree Programs

CALCCTA has supported efforts to expand baccalaureate degree offerings in community colleges, which is seen in their backing of legislative initiatives like AB 247. This proposed bill would ask California voters to approve a $14 billion bond for the construction and modernization of educational facilities, including those that offer community college baccalaureate degrees. Such legislative support aligns with broader educational goals to improve access and reduce the cost of obtaining four-year degrees (CC League).
